I love using my LLM. It’s priorities are preset on realism with a list of more than a thousand expression-to-lingo translation to increase success of output.

When you can’t control the engine’s priority, you have to prompt slightly different. Force it to avoid plastic, the “too perfect” look. I have more on that later. But for now, read below:
Hey team —
Quick but important update for everyone still running “vellum skin” (or any close variation) in your portrait and character templates.
In March 2026 a dedicated skin-enhancer model named Vellum (by Clueless AI / TheClueless, exclusive to OpenArt) launched specifically to kill plastic/waxy AI skin by restoring pores, micro-texture, and natural light interaction. That product name flooded creator discourse. So the single word “vellum” now carries both the old parchment association and the branded “anti-plastic-skin tool” association in the same community.
Result: the token has become noisy. Models no longer cleanly map “vellum skin” to high-quality realistic skin the way many of us used it before.
Action for your templates
Replace every instance of “vellum skin” (and close variants) with one of these ready-to-paste blocks:
Strong default (recommended for most portrait work): natural skin texture with visible pores
Macro / beauty close-up version: hyper-realistic skin texture, unretouched
Quick clean version: natural skin texture, visible pores, unretouched.
