Build the Process you Trust

What does that even mean? I know the work I am doing. I know the tools I am using. My APIs ping Singapore. I write, read, edit, scan, audit, and pick apart every element to the point that I am cross-eyed. I’ve haven’t combed my hair in days and boy is that going to be a project. But, I really want this. I have wanted this for a long time. I am from a time that you didn’t show work in progress, well now it is the norm. Or was, until AI.

Now, you do it to the best possible perfection and then braced yourself for the incoming. Not praise. Not critique. Critcism.

Not critique because usually it isn’t from someone skilled in that industry.

It’s not like Spike Lee commented, “that lighting was all wrong for the mood. And that lady had three legs, how did you miss that?”.

It’s not like Keke Palmer commented, “Girl, I would have played that character but that dialogue is flat.”

It’s not like you local TV station commented, “We would have premiered that but it just isn’t up to par.”

No, its endless random people with their own personal agendas that have not spent one second beyond the second they watch to get to know the project, its intent. No. It’s like we were all put to sleep, woke up and suddenly half the people on social media were converted to Lord of the Flies gone wild. Like who tells someone to kill themselves over an image of a sunflower? Like let’s really weigh in on the value of human life? Are we so detached from reality? Have these people ever seen someone dead? Are they even people? It is so multi-layered that you would really have to dedicate some time to untangling the relationship connection from personal life, professional life, and AI stance.

My own house is divided. When someone is preloaded with subjective information, they really aren’t open to a discussion. But, trying to explain that AI is the new gun continues. People use Artifical Intelligence. People decide what to create. It is always people. There is not one Artifical Intelligence. The range is enormous. But rage began when people began to use it for Art and Music, no longer just to make their lives easier and more convenient. No one was telling people to kill themselves because they had an Alexa in the house.

Those against it in Art and Music have some legitimated cases. Again, not with the tool. The tool didn’t download millions of images and songs. The tool was GIVEN the data by a PERSON. A person decided. And when company’s are sued for infringement, the court case doesn’t list the AI tool. It lists the person who built it.

I created my first batch files in the 90’s. Automating agency desktop setup, permissions, software, even the appearance of the windows desktop. I remember the first automation in Dreamweaver. I was pissed. Why? Because everyone and their mother thought they could make a website, lol. But, I never wished them DEAD for doing it. Within a year, it actually expanded my services because I had a lot of folks who nothing about web development that couldn’t expand their sites beyond the hotspotted homepage. Couldn’t connect images to live links, et al.

Using AI tools to create images and videos is not the same as supporting the land grabs for Big Campus Centers. Not the same thing at all. America is not the entire world. Yet the entire world is using AI tools. Only America is trying to use tomorrow’s technology with yesteryears blueprints. Why? Because. It’s always about money. And money is about control.

For the first time, I am hesitant. Not for the normal reasons. I only worry no one will show up. Now, I give pause because of WHO MAY show up. Well (rocking my broken neck, left to right), guess I’m suiting up. I’m releasing my series episode. It is not perfect. I can’t wait to respond to those comments. I even have a blooper reel right after the episode. I’m suiting up for the OTHER ones.

Funny, they don’t know me. I was raised because I am faster, smarter, stronger; you must let them get the first swing. Then I have permission to destroy, lol. I’ve been holding so much back.

OK, that’s it for this rare unfiltered thought map. Back to editing this first episode. Have you seen the trailer? Want to see it again? Here it is. And if you aren’t subscribed to my YouTube Channel yet, you can do it now. Don’t want you to miss the event.

Have a wonderful day.
